Sophia Taillet is a French artist and designer born in 1992. She graduated from the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and trained at the School of Visual Arts in New York. At the crossroads of art, design, and craftsmanship, she explores the relationships between material, gesture, and movement. Her work has been presented at the Palais de Tokyo, the Fondation Pernod Ricard, and the Versailles Architecture Biennale. Her light fixture Vénus has entered the collections of the Mobilier national. Winner of the Mondes Nouveaux program in 2022, she develops a transdisciplinary practice combining design, sound, and movement. In 2026, Sophia Taillet is in residence at the Villa Albertine in New York, where she continues her research into possible dialogues between movement, design, and craftsmanship.
